Question of the Day (A+ Style)

You’re in Starbucks. Your laptop has connected here before, but today it won’t. What’s your move?

A. Ask the barista for the router password again

B. Try plugging in with an Ethernet cable

C. Delete the saved Wi-Fi network and reconnect

D. Restart the router using the reset button

The Answer:

C. Delete the saved Wi-Fi network and reconnect

Why It Matters:

This is one of those CompTIA-style questions that seems technical, but it’s really about real-world judgment. You’re not the admin of this coffee shop. You don’t own the router. That rules out restarting or plugging directly into the hardware.

What can you do?

Delete the saved network profile.

Sometimes those saved settings get corrupted—this quick fix resets the connection process, just like starting fresh.

So, if you don't own it, don't try to fix it like you normally would.

Try your device's easiest fix first!
